About Me

Bea Young is the partner of the production company Velvet Content and the founder of 806 Post, a modern online post-production business. As an editor and a producer, she has a passion for creating work that moves people. She has edited multiple short films, music videos, and branded content pieces, working intimately with a variety of directors from all over the world. The short film Ripple directed by Min-Wei Lee is her most recent love. It is set to have its international debut at Oaxaca Film Festival in October 2019.

Most notably, she was the Creative Director and Producer of The Violet Lights Project, a branded content film for New York University which was projected onto the illustrious Stern building on Gould Plaza for the inauguration of the 16th President of NYU, Andrew Hamilton.

Having graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and a BFA in film and TV from Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Bea’s passion for film is burning brighter than ever.

Outside of the editing room, her passions include music (being a rockstar was her backup plan), food, and travel (Anthony Bourdain style).
